Inspired by the comics David Letterman and Tony Hawk Green started to do stand up comedy at Yuk Yuks in Ottawa. It was here that he met future Tom Green Show "coffee-drinker," Phil. In 1989, Green met Glenn (future co-host of The Tom Green Show), and the two decided to work together in the CHUO-FM radio station, co-hosting an overnight talk show called Nightfall.
