Hailing from Athens, Georgia, The B-52’s are a popular rock group. They hail from the college town which has become one of the most important centres in alternative rock. The group take their name from the bouffant wigs which help give the band their distinctive look and are worn by the band’s singer Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson.
