Sofia Milos was born in Zurich, Switzerland, to an Italian father and a Greek mother. In her teens she entered a local beauty pageant, and after winning first prize went on to win the provincial, regional and national contests as well. Following a successful international modeling career that helped guide her way through business and economics school in Switzerland, Milos decided to pursue her dream of acting and relocated to America, where she enrolled at the renowned Beverly Hills Playhouse. She pursued theater until 1992, when she landed her first film role, as Kristen in the independent feature “Inside Out,” starring Lesley Anne Down and Kris Kristofferson. Television producers quickly took notice, and she was cast in her first series regular role, as the fiery, sexy and spoiled Fabiana Borelli, in the NBC sitcom “Café Americain,” co-starring Valerie Bertinelli. In 1995, she fueled the interest of the international TV audiences with her performance as the charming yet elusive Aurora in the much-loved series “Friends” and created a similar buzz in 1996 when she guest starred as Sarah on the season finale of “Mad about You” with Helen Huntand Paul Reiser. She was later cast opposite Lea Thompsonas the sexy, passionate and wealthy Julia Karinsky in the NBC series “Caroline in the City.” Since then, Milos has held regular roles on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and ABC’s “Thieves.”

Italian actor and director Ezio Greggio, created a role for Milos in the 1998 independent feature “Screw Loose,” in which she played a sexy killer at the airport who is smothered by a love struck Mel Brooks.

More recently, Milos played the sultry and sexy character of Sarah in the comedic feature “The Lady’s Man” starring former “Saturday Night Live” personality Tim Meadows and co-starred with Jean Claude Van Damme and Charlton Heston in the action film “The Order.” Milos additionally nabbed a starring role in the 2003 film “Passionada,” a romantic comedy about a Portuguese Fado singer named Celia Amonte. She may be best recognized for her role as mob boss Annalisa Zucca in the critically-acclaimed HBO series “The Sopranos” and as detective Yelena Salas on CBS’s “CSI: Miami.”

When she is not filming, Milos enjoys the company of friends and the simpler pleasures of life. She loves creating oil paintings and drawings. She speaks English, Italian, French and German fluently, and can also carry a basic conversation in Greek and Spanish.
