Ricky Ullman Biography
Lea acerca de Ricky Ullman en Espa?ol
Ricky Ullman was born in Israel, before his parents decided to move to Connecticut, USA.
He first took an interest in acting when he was just eight-years-old, after watching a musical production put on by a local children's acting camp. He was inspired by the performance, that he signed up for the summer camp the following year. During his time at the camp, Ricky developed his acting, singing and dancing skills.
Ricky kickstarted his acting career with a stage role, touring with a production of "The King And I" playing the character Louis. He first took an interest in acting when he was just eight-years-old.
He is a familiar face on the Disney Channel, having starred in the title role on the show "Phil of the Future" (the role for which he is best known) and made-for-TV movie "Pixel Perfect". He also voiced a character for "Disney's The Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama".
His role in "Phil of The Future" as a teen from the year 2121 stranded after his family's time machine broke down, for which he had to relocate to Los Angeles, established Ricky as a teen heart-throb. So much so that in the Summer of 2004, Ricky reached the Number 10 spot on the "List of Illegal Hotties".
His TV projects outside Disney include: ABC Family's “Searching for David's Heart” (in 2004) and NBC's “Growing Up Brady” (in 2000).
The young star has also had guest roles in Raven-Symone's popular series, “That's So Raven” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”. Ricky's acting talents were rewarded with a 1998-1999 Best Actor Nomination from the Connecticut Critics Circle Awards for role in "A Rosen by Any Other Name."
The brown eyed, brown eyed star - whose real name Raviv Ullman means "Morning Rain" - has appeared in the feature films “The Big Bad Swim” (2005), The Boys of Sunset Ridge (2001) and the independent movie Crossfire (1998).
When Ricky isn't working, he loves to dance, play guitar and drums (which he taught himself), play sports and volunteer to help the charities TAP (Teen AIDS Prevention) and HOBY (Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership). "I think helping people is such an amazing feeling," he says of his charity work.
He is the oldest of three children, with a brother called Nadav, and a sister called Tali. They both live with Ricky's parents in Connecticut.
