Born and raised in New Zealand, Rachel rose to prominence after posing as a Sports Illustrated model in 1989 and quickly became one of the most photographed international cover models in the world. She appeared on thousands of covers world wide over a number of years. For the past five years, Rachel has been taking acting classes and she has already amassed an impressive string of credits, highlighting her wide ranging talent. Beginning with several televisions appearances on "The Drew Carey Show" and as Judd Nelson's lesbian girlfriend on NBC's "Suddenly Susan", Rachel quickly made the transition into feature films and recently completed her seventh independent film. One of her most recent films, "Just a Little Harmless Sex" had her playing a nightclub waitress opposite Alison Eastwood and Lauren Hutton. Other films include; "Two Shades of Blue" as a writer engaged to Gary Busey, "Soul Mates", "Tripfall" with John Ritter, "Boys Klub" and "A Walk in the Park". She has recently completed starring in the dramatic boxing film "12 Rounds" with Brian Buzzini and Rosanna Arquette and recently completed production on the Sundance feature "MacArthur Park" with Julie Delpyfor director Billy Wirth. Rachel has been voted one of the "Most Admired Women" by British women in a recent poll. She is beautiful, talented and determined. She is also no stranger to adventure, having only last year been to the hostile Ugandan Rainforests to see at close range the endangered Lowland Gorillas. Rachel is a staunch supporter of Born Free Foundation having set up her own Rachel Hunter Gorilla Fund following her last trip. She has also been made an Ambassador by BFF for her work with them.
