Straight out of San Ysidro, California, POD brought a fresh mix of hard-rock, hip-hop, Latin and reggae grooves, and their Christian beliefs to the rock scene after forming in 1992. The band found the time to issue an independent release, The Warriors EP, before The Fundamental Elements Of Southtown appeared in August 1999. At first listen, P.O.D.'s music sounds similar to that of Korn or Limp Bizkit - an amalgam of equal parts hardcore, metal and rap.
