Oliver Platt is an Canadian film and television actor. David E. Kelley originally wanted him to play the role of Bobby Donnell on the TV show "The Practice" (1997). His father, Nicholas Platt, is an ex ambassador to Pakistan, Zambia, & the Phillipines. From 2004 to 2006, Platt starred as lawyer Russell Tupper in Huff, for which he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
