Forget Angelina Jolie, Nell McAndrew was the first ‘real life’ version of Lara Croft.

As the official model for the computer game Tomb Raider, Nell got to travel the world, before getting fired from the job for posing naked for Playboy (she was actually the first British woman to grace the infamous magazine’s cover).

Nell started her career as a Page Three model for British tabloid newspaper the “Daily Star”, which boosted her profile leading her to score work as a television presenter. Her TV work includes fronting The Big Breakfast and It’s A Knockout, as well as appearing as a contestant on reality show Get Me Out of Here!

As you’ll see from her toned figure, Nell is a fitness fanatic. She’s released numerous work-out videos, which have proved successful, and ran the London Marathon in 2003, as well as the 2005 Great North Run. She also appeared in a spoof BBC documentary, which pretended she had wed television presenter Dale Winton.

Her other achievements include being awarded 2005’s female Rear of the Year award, in recognition of her shapely behind.

She has frequently visited armed forces to boost morale, leading her to be dubbed the “Forces’ Sweetheart”. Nell has work as an “emotional experience” and says “I just wish I could bring them all back home with me.”

Nell also fills her spare time with charity work. She’s helped raise money for Cancer Research UK, The Lymphoma Association, Breast Cancer Awareness and Help The Aged.

She is married to her long-term partner Paul Hardcastle. In 2005, Nell announced she was pregnant but tragedy struck when the fetus was diagnosed with Amniotic Band Disruption and it was highly unlikely it would survive. After having to terminate the pregnancy, she soon feel pregnant again and the baby is due this summer.
