Charlotte (Connie Nielsen) plays a convict on deathrow, her execution only a couple of days away. Her attourney (Kelly Preston desperately tries to appeal the verdict before it's too late. In the midst of it all another attourney (Aidan Quinn) falls in love with Charlotte through mail correspondance, eventually leading to him ending up on deathrow.
