Head Hunters is a thriving, upscale beauty shop located in the Leimert Park section of Los Angeles, a veritable crossroads between the tony View Park enclave and the 'hood. It is the brainchild of "Cliff" Hunter and his wife, Peaches. Cliff worked at several salons, building an impressive client base of models and actresses. However, life was stagnant and empty for this player. Then, like a tornado, in swept Patrice "Peaches" Washington (Mo'Nique), larger than life and full of energy. Her charm and take charge personality was unlike anyone Cliff had ever met. Though she didn't look like the typical actress/model he usually dated, it was game meets game. Cliff fell for Peaches hook, line and sinker, and married her. Cliff Jr. (C.J) came soon after. Peaches helped Cliff realize his dream of owning his own salon. Together, the couple built Head Hunters into the booming business it is today, Cliff as the creative force and Peaches as the savvy businesswoman. Their talented and colorful group of stylists makes Head Hunters "the" hair salon to Black Hollywood elite as well as hardworking sisters in the community.
