Six soldiers returning from WWII come back to find a government that operates on kickbacks, extortion, and a mayor who profited from the very war they were fighting. They organize their own political party and campaign to overthrow the government. They have no idea how far the mayor will go to keep his power and find themselves fighting their greatest battle for freedom where they least expected it--at home.
