Missi Pyle is an American actress who was born in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Linda and Frank Pyle. She attended the North Carolina School of the Arts and graduated in 1995. She is married to Casey R. Anderson, a grizzly bear specialist for National Geographic. For her achievements, Pyle was honored by the Poplar Pike Playhouse at her alma mater Germantown High School in Germantown, Tennessee.

She has guest starred on many television shows, including Heroes, Mad About You, Boston Legal, and The Sarah Silverman Program. She started her film career with a minor role in As Good as It Gets, starring Helen Huntand Jack Nicholson. After her breakout role in Galaxy Quest, she had supporting roles in Bringing Down the House (for which she and Queen Latifah were nominated for an MTV Movie Award for Best Fight), Josie and the Pussycats, Exposed, Big Fish, Along Came Polly, Soul Plane and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Barely recognizable, she stars in Dodgeball . She also had a brief appearance in 50 First Dates. She was ranked #98 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2004.

Pyle is also part of a music group with actress Shawnee Smith called Smith & Pyle. Their first CD, It's OK to Be Happy, was released in July 2008.

She is very often confused with Elaine Hendrix, best known for playing Meredith Blake in the 1998 movie The Parent Trap, also starring Lindsay Lohan

Missi is currently starring in the Broadway play, Boeing-Boeing opposite Gina Gershon Christine Baranski, Mark Rylance, Kathryn Hahn and Greg Germann.
