Lea acerca de Luke Benward en Espa?ol

Luke Benward is an American child actor and singer. He is best known for his starring role as Billy in How to Eat Fried Worms and as Charlie Tuttle in the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie, Minutemen. At the age 7, he appeared in Martina McBride's music video Concrete Angel.

Benward was born to Aaron and Kenda Benward in Franklin, Tennessee. His father is in the country duo Blue County, his mother is a part-time actress, model, and acting coach, and his grandfather is Contemporary Christian artist Jeoffrey Benward. He currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.

Luke first appeared in a movie called We Were Soldiers, as David Moore in 2002, alongside Mel Gibsonand Madeline Stowe. In the years following, he shot television pilots for Life on the water and family Affair starring Tim Curry and Gary Cole.

He was cast in the family film Because of Winn-Dixie at age 8 after choosing to audition with a toothpick in his mouth. The choice set him apart from the hundreds of boys vying for the role of Stevie Dewberry, one of the two brothers tormenting Annasophia Robb's character. Director Wayne Wang loved the idea and used it in the film. Robb's mother later urged the casting director of How to Eat Fried Worms to audition Benward for the lead role of Billy; the film is loosely based on the popular children's book of the same name.

Luke will appear next as 'Owen' in Diamond Dog Caper. He also starred in the 2008 Disney Channel's movie Minutemen along with Jason Dolley Benward is also currently filming Mostly Ghostly where he plays 'Nicky'.

Luke also stars as Angel/Michael in Martina McBrides award-winning music video for Concrete Angel. The clip was nominated for a Grammy, among other awards, and McBride took home the prize for female Video of the year at the 2003 CMT Flameworth Awards. His commercial credits include campaigns for McDonalds, Nintendo, American Express, and Hamburger Helper.
