Lauren Storm Biography

Lauren Storm was born in Chicago, Illinois. Her father is German Lutheran and her mother is Jewish, and Storm was raised in the Jewish religion. She started modeling at the age of 11 for children's companies in Chicago. When she was 12, she participated in IMTA, which is a convention held in New York for aspiring models and actors. She ended up getting a lot of response from theatrical agencies and was asked to relocate to LA for pilot season. After 6 months, she got her first job. At age 16, she graduated from the Excelsior School of Los Angeles.

Lauren was cast in a costarring role on Grounded for Life. From there she went on to recur on Boston Public. "Boston Public was my first big part I booked as far as guest starring roles. It was a perfect learning experience for me, and I was privileged to work with such a great cast," remembers Lauren.

Lauren received nationwide attention for her role of Malcolm's girlfriend in the "Company Picnic" episode of Malcolm in the Middle which aired after the Superbowl in 2002. "Malcolm was a wonderful experience. The cast and crew were wonderful, and I really felt honored to be a part of such an accomplished cast. I also had such a great time playing the role of "Laurie." It's always fun to play an outrageous character, " says Lauren.

Lauren has appeared in the film Mrs. Harris starring Annette Bening and Ben Kingsley and has guest starred on 7th Heaven, CSI: Miami, Joan of Arcadia, 24 and Still Standing.

She also starred in the 2007 film The Game Plan as a nanny that Joe Kingman (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) picks to watch his daughter, Peyton (Madison Pettis) while he is playing football and is at events.

Recently she was cast as the star of the new NBC/Discovery Channel series Flight 29 Down. "I have been working toward a leading role for a long time, and finally I have the opportunity to play it. I believe that this is going to be the learning experience of a lifetime," says Lauren of her new series Flight 29 Down.

Lauren is on the Board of Directors of "Kids with a Cause," and supports "The Olive Crest Foundation" and the "Jonathan Jaques Cancer Walk" In her spare time she listens to music and hangs out with her friends. Lauren lives in the Los Angeles area with her parents.
