Kristin Laura Kreuk was born December 30th, 1982, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The easy-going daughter of a Dutch father and Chinese mother, both of whom are landscape architects, Kristin led a regular life prior to stardom. She proceeded through her schooling as an unassuming yet attention-getting girl. She enjoyed acting classes, but was not serious about the trade.
