“It was late and I was working on a small part at another set for a TV show pilot when my then girlfriend, now wife, called because she received the sides for the "Lost" pilot in our fax machine at home”, he has said, recalling winning the role.

“The audition was for the very next morning, therefore she faxed over the material so I could study for it. I went in the next day and the rest is history.”

The high profile his role in the smash hits show led him to be named one of "People" magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People in 2005, as well as feature in many other sexiest star polls.

Josh's recent projects include starring in 2006’s thriller "Whisper" (in which he plays a kidnapper, “It’s about a group of people who decided to kidnap a kid for a ransom but found out, the bad way, that the boy is a lot more than they bargained for” (he told "MovieHole"). As well working on horror "Skinner Box", which is set in the creepy setting of an abandoned insane asylum.

Offscreen, Josh spends his spare time fishing, sailing, camping, snow boarding, practising martial arts, and playing the guitar, as well as spending time with his wife Yessica.

In October 2005, Josh hit the headlines after he and his wife were robbed at gunpoint. They were left shaken by the incident, but thankfully unharmed.
