The product of a Spanish mother, Anne-Marie, and a Swedish-English father, Lawrence, who was 50 by the time she was born on August 6, 1972, the Watford girl describes herself as "a mongrel".

She grew up listening to Madonna, Michael Jacksonand Abba, but was also influenced by the music and films her father loved: Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Shirley Bassey

Geraldine Estelle Halliwell has been a club dancer in Majorca, a TV presenter in Turkey, an aerobics instructor, a cleaner, a barmaid, a model and a Spice Girl. She always wanted to be in the spotlight and got her big break with the Spice Girls who stormed both British and American charts with numerous number one singles and two number one albums.

Big joined the Spice Girls after responding to an ad in the newspaper for an "all girl band". She used to work as a dancer in a go-go club, and she posed nude several times when she was very young because she had bills to pay, which is the reason why you can find nude pictures of her all over the Internet.

Geri was part of the Spice Girls for the first two albums and the movie Spice World. She was known mostly for her outrageous outfits and antics (like when her breasts came out of the red dress you see above, at the Brit Awards), not to mention her strong belief in "Girl Power".

She even pinched Prince Charles' bottom and sang "Happy Birthday" Marilyn Monroe style at his 50th birthday party. She left the Spice Girls in 1998, apparently "forced out" by Scary Spice, who hated her singing and dancing skills.

The former Ginger Spice released a solo album this year that was received with critical and commercial success. Although her music didn't hit such a high note with North American fans, her album shot straight to number one in the UK.

Geri's next move involves serious film roles in major movies. For some reason, we don't envision any Oscars coming her way anytime soon. Geri is set to star in a film entitled Therapy.

Although she has already starred in the movie Spice World, this will actually be her first movie role playing someone other than herself. Geri will be receiving 1 million pounds for her acting efforts.
