Evan Ross Naess Biography
Evan Ross is an American actor, born in Greenwich, Connecticut, the son of American singer Diana Rossand the late Norwegian mountaineer and businessman Arne Næss Jr. He is the youngest of Diana Rosss five children, and also has one brother, Ross Næss, and three half-sisters, Rhonda Ross Kendrick, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Chudney Ross, from his mother's previous relationships, as well as two half sisters and a brother, including acclaimed singer Leona Naess, from his father's side. He has lived in Norway, New York City and Los Angeles.
Evan Ross started his career as an actor while still in high school. His first major role was in the film, ATL, released in March 2006, in which he co-starred with rappers T.I. and Big Boi, playing the little brother of T.I.’s character. He subsequently appeared in Life Support, a made-for-television film co-starring Queen Latifah and Tracee Ellis Ross, who portrayed Evan's elder sister in the movie. He received rave reviews for his role as a troubled teenager in this movie. Ross later co-starred in the biography, Pride, in which he played one of several members of the first African-American competitive swimming team. Ross spent a month training to swim, as well as researched the 1970s period that the film takes place in, in preparing for the role.
Ross is also involved in several other movies, including one with Cuba Gooding, Jr., called Linewatch, and he finished a role in Life Is Hot in Cracktown, an independent film about a neighborhood ravaged by cocaine, co-starring Kerry Washington Ross will also star in Gardens of the Night, a film about street children, Brooklyn to Manhattan, a thriller about four people stalked by killers after a failed drug deal, and another film, Burning Sands.
In an interview, Ross also mentioned that he is working on his own musical album, which he has described as a "little R&B mix".
