Daniel Henney is an American expatriate actor in South Korea. Despite speaking no Korean, Henney became a household name through the Korean hit drama, My Name is Kim Sam Soon.

He graduated from Carson City-Crystal High School in 1998 (Carson City, Michigan). His father is British and his mother is a Korean-American adoptee. Henney debuted as a model in several Korean and foreign ads.

He was part of an academic scandal where many sources stated that he had an Economics degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago to bolster his image, while in actuality he had no college degree.

A recent article in the L.A. Times on Henney reflects the western film industry's interest in him, and landed his first role in a Western film as David North (Agent Zero) in the film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
