Chelan Simmons is a Canadian actress, professional model and performer. She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, the middle child of three (one younger brother and an older sister) and has been a natural performer since the age of two. As a child, she took a modeling/acting course for six weeks and after graduation she was asked to audition for a “Back to School” commercial for Woodward’s store. Chelan landed the lead in it but was unnerved that a boy had to kiss her cheek. This was the first of over thirty television commercials she appeared in.

Her first movie role was as Pennywise's first victim in the horror movie It (1990) in which she played Laurie Ann Winterbarger. She starred alongside John Ritter, Richard Thomas and Tim Curry. Her most recognizable roles are in movies such as Final Destination 3 (2006) as Ashley Freund, and also in other movies like Dr. Doolittle 3, John Tucker Must Die (2006) and Good Luck Chuck (2007). She has also guest starred in episodes of Smallville and Supernatural.

Her hobbies include cooking and sightseeing on rollerblades at her hometown. Chelan currently plays Hilary on the AbcFamily hit show, Kyle XY.
