Brandon T. Jackson is an American actor and stand-up comedian. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Bishop Wayne T. Jackson, a well-known Preacher in Michigan and the Senior Preacher of Great Faith Ministries International. Jackson attended West Bloomfield High School in West Bloomfield, Michigan. He began his acting career early in the local Detroit area, while performing is such acts as the Motor City Youth Festival. While in high school, Brandon did some school shows as well as some projects in the community and even appeared in a Marc Cayce's teen-oriented urban drama entitled "Nikita Blues".

After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand up. He tried a series of bit parts in A-list features including Ali (2001), 8 Mile (2002), and Roll Bounce (2005). He claims to have been "discovered" at the Laugh Factory. His role as "Junior" in the film Roll Bounce won him the 2006 Black Reel Award for Breakthrough Performance. He hosts the Brandon T. Jackson Show on The N channel. He also starred in the film Tropic Thunder as Alpa Chino, alongside Robert Downey Jr. Jack Black and Ben Stiller.
