Amanda Joy Michalka, better known as AJ Michalka (born on April 10, 1991 in Torrance, California) is an American actress and singer. Since then both her and her sister, Alyson Michalka have lived in Seattle where they grew up; they moved there in 1992. There her parents made sure they were exposed to all varieties of music. Aly & AJ is the name of their singing partnership. When she was younger, she was in a number of WORD Music productions at her church in Southern California. In March, she will make her Disney Channel debut in the Disney Channel Original Movie Cow Belles, as Courtney Calum, along with her older sister Alyson.
