Adrianne Curry, actually, Adrianne Marie Curry, was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois, the rather infamous working-class suburb of Chicago affectionately known as "prison-town". Growing up in this rough blue collar environment created in Adrianne Curry an identity of tough resilience. The tough talking, street savvy Adrianne Curry is very much a product of her environment, a rebel and a survivor. Throughout her underprivileged childhood she identified with the disenfranchised leading to the lady we know today with a huge heart and deep love for animals, yet harboring no inhabitations in railing against the system and challenging social norms. With Adrianne Curry's unique combination of willfulness and hope and a perspective set from a life rife with challenges, Adrianne has aspirations to make a difference in the world with her very own rags to almost riches story serving as the inspiration. Juxtaposed to the harsh life around her the overtly beautiful Adrianne Curry had dreams of being a model since she was 12 years old. After many dashed hopes and false starts with local modeling schools and agencies, Adrianne’s big break came when she was working as a waitress in her home town, saving for college. Adrianne Curry had all but giving up on her dream of modeling when she was approached by a man claiming to be a scout of a new reality show looking for models. Having been exploited in the past with similar promises of opportunity Adrianne Curry wasn’t initially convinced of the truthfulness of this "scout" and did nothing to contact him. Fortunately a number of days later while watching Television, Adrianne Curry saw a TV commercial announcing a casting call for "America's Next Top Model" competition, hosted and produced by supermodel Tyra Banks So the scout was telling the truth after all. Having by then missed the audition, undeterred, Adrianne Curry followed her gut and decided to submit an audition tape. Though it was going to arrive late she still managed to make the cut and later went on to beat nearly 32,000 hopefuls to win a spot on the program as one of the ten contestants. The trash talking, unpolished rock & roller was an underdog from the first episode. Though Adrianne Curry had to come from behind in the competition, her exuberant and colorful personality led to her being one of the obvious stars of the show. To the surprise of many, including Tyra Banks Adrianne hung-in, polished up and was crowned America’s Next Top Model! Adrianne Curry walked away from the show with a modeling agency contract that has landed her modeling gigs in NYC, LA, Italy and South Africa. The statuesque, 5'11" Adrianne has modeled for Macy's, Merit Diamonds, Sirena Collection, has appeared in numerous high-fashion magazines and has starred in two episodes of UPN’s "Half and Half" and one episode of "Rock Me Baby". Then, in late 2004, came a call for Adrianne Curry to get back onto the small screen again, as she signed on to star in the hit reality series "Surreal Life" (season 4) on VH1. Along with cast-mates Christopher Knight, Marcus Schenkenberg, Joanie "Chyna Doll" Laurer, Verne Troyer, Jane Wiedlin and Da Brat the show took the audiences by storm and has established itself as the highest-rated show in VH1 history. Since she completed filming the "Surreal Life 4", Adrianne Curry’s life has changed yet again, as she makes national headlines by being the focus of a high-profile romance with her TV housemate and real-life boyfriend Christopher Knight. Adrianne Curry has since moved to California where she shares a home with the former "Brady" as they explore multiple opportunities in their personal and professional lives. Adrianne Curry recently wrapped the first season of "Ball Breakers" for The Game Show Network were she stars and the trash-talking model/hostest/rack-girl in this Billiards competition game show due to premiere June of 2005. She is currently featured in a 6-page photo spread in the April 2005 issue of Maxim magazine. In addition to be in discussion on numerous other television and modeling projects Adrianne Curry has been inked in her first acting roll, staring with Knight in the upcoming Indy film, "Light Years Away".
